Conference on “Rejuvenating Medical Minds” was held on Sunday February 10, 2013 organised by Brahma Kumaris’ Global Hospital, Mumbai at Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion, Mumbai. The Conference aimed to bring about a positive change in healthcare professionals. Prof Dr Arun Jamkar, Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) inaugurated the conference and emphasised the importance of integrating Values in healthcare. He also initiated the programme of introducing Values in Healthcare: a spiritual approach by inviting Dr Ashok Mehta to MUHS for a workshop.
BK Shivani, host of popular TV Programme ‘Awakening with Brahma Kumaris’ spoke about ‘Living with passion and purpose’.
Other speakers included eminent doctors from UK & USA who spoke on ‘Latest Insights from Neuroscience’, ‘Living outside the box’, ‘In search of harmony – the flow!’ etc…
Insightful presentations from speakers retained everyone’s interest throughout the day. Actress Raveena Tandon shared about the importance of standing outside of the role and focusing on the being.
More than 3,000 healthcare professionals attended the conference, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrative heads.
It was also announced that a new department will be addedin the hospital, of Mind Body Medicine (MBM) – a value addition for holistic treatment.
